On Friday, March 5th, 2004 I went to Embarcadero
Center
and the Ferry Building Marketplace (on San Francisco Bay).
It was a sunny/hazy sunny day in San Francisco.
2:00 PM. 60 degrees and nice!
There were about eight street artists set up to sell their wares
at the foot of Market Street at the Embacadero.
I have a project called my
Twenty Dollar Art Project.
I buy $20.00 worth of original art
from San Francisco street artists.
Here is what I bought today.

Here is a $20.00 piece hand done and hand strung by the artist.
All images are ACTUAL SIZE, except the first one (showing the
entire necklace). This image is 50%.

Hand strung on a very robust black cord
that can be adjusted from long necklace to a choker.

Pendant - Front
This is her hand made glass art.
She called this series the FLOWER AMULETS.
Very colorful. Each one is unique. She had about 30-50!

Pendant - Back
She etches her first and last name (Denise Misiph)
on the back. Great idea!
Hand done work that is SIGNED, for $20.00!
I am amazed at the great quality I can get.

Here is the whole package. Very nice packaging!

This is her card.

The whole thing goes into this nifty
glassine envelope, with a re-closable seal.
I use these envelopes in my art, too.
It protects the contents AND shows them off.
Smart idea, Denise!
I was very impressed with her work, her affordable prices,
her sincerity, her enthusiasm for her art, her packaging,
her financial planning (she takes VISA and MasterCard),
and for SHOWING UP on the street
and putting everything into motion.
Look for her on Fridays and Saturdays
at the foot of the Embacadero,
across the street from the new
Ferry Building Marketplace complex.
I love Denise's work.
She has pendants from $20.00 to 35 to 40 to 50 and up.
Support street artists. Give her a call or email. Great gifts.
